K4C

Nearly 3,000 high school students cover the Shelby County Fairgrounds for the Annual Kentucky Construction Career Choice Council (K4C) Career Days event, a two-day, hands-on career fair. The construction industry recognizes the impact our youth will soon have on the future of the industry. A proven way to entice the minds of the next generation is to provide an environment that exposes them to multiple trades within the industry. At the career fair, students have an opportunity to weld, assist with building a brick wall, craft a toolbox, participate in a nail driving contest, operate a backhoe, stop water leaks — and that’s just to name a few.
