As we have been communicating since January, the Department of Housing, Buildings, and Construction has been working on an online portal that is supposed to speed up the inspection request process. The goal is to be able to upload necessary forms, pay for the inspection, and track the progress, all at the click of a finger. Several retailers and installers are currently testing out this process with the expected mass rollout to be within the next two weeks. KMHI is meeting with DHBC next week to work out the details.
