KMHI Announces 2019 Educational Scholarship
KMHI's 2019 Scholarship is now live.
The Kentucky Manufactured Housing Institute is proud to announce that it is continuing to offer the KMHI Scholarship Awards. Five $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to individuals who are currently attending or will be attending a technical center, trade school, or enrolling in an apprenticeship program centered around the construction industry. In addition to the five trade scholarships, two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded in 2019 to graduating high school seniors, GED recipients, or students who are currently enrolled in college or technical schools that live in modular, manufactured, or mobile homes. These awards are available for university, college, technical, or vocational programs.
KMHI member retailers and communities are encouraged to offer the enclosed application to deserving students who will be attending one of the aforementioned schools/apprenticeship programs or currently reside in a modular, manufactured, or mobile home. One application has been included; however, if you need more applications you can make a copy of the enclosed application or contact Logan Hanes at KMHI by phone at 502-223-0490 in Frankfort or by email at LHanes@kmhi.org. Completed applications must be post-marked no later than April 1, 2019.
We have included a flyer to announce the scholarship for bulletin boards, etc. Also included in this packet is a press release. You can publish this announcement in a newspaper or school newsletter. This will increase the awareness of the scholarship availability and increase the number of applicants. The scholarship program is just one example of how KMHI and the factory-built housing industry is trying more progressive ways of increasing public awareness of the manufactured home industry. If you have ideas about how we can improve this program and start others, please feel free to contact the KMHI at 502-223-0490.
