As of February 4th, 2019, Any New Home Contracted Will Be Subject To Inspection

As of February 4th, 2019, any new home contracted after that date will be subject to inspection. Just a few highlights on scheduling -

1. At least Five (5) days prior to the desired inspection date, a retailer and/or certified installer must submit THIS FORM along with the necessary documentation (i.e. footer detail, manufacturer's installation guidelines for frost depth, soil capacity, etc.).  This should be submitted to or by faxing 502-573-1059 and calling Shawnna at 502-573-1795 to confirm receipt. It is recommended to utilize the email option as it goes to Shawnna and Josh Wilson, supervisor of manufactured housing rather than the common fax machine.

2. At least 24 hours before the desired inspection, you must schedule with the Department of Housing, Buildings, and Construction by emailing or calling Shawnna at 502-573-1795. Do not call your individual inspector to schedule an inspection. 

3. Per regulation, the inspectors have three days to complete inspection. However, every attempt will be made to complete the inspection on the desired inspection date.
